Directions to the garden:

Take the Howick North – Tweedie off ramp, turn right at the T-junction and travel into Howick. At the 4th Traffic Light turn left, taking the Karkloof Road. Travel past both the Amber Valley and Amber Ridge entrances. After passing a large dam on your left take the next road to the left, it is marked “Waterford Hall” (opposite La Petite France). It is the 3rd turning to the left, after the Ambers.


New additions to the garden have been made since the last open gardens in 2015. Michael Hammersley has been assisting Eileen in exciting changes to her garden. This is an old garden with large trees and shrubs. It contains formal terraces garden overlooking two dams. Inspired by the Italian Lakes Gardens. It offers a mixture of soft rose and perennial planting offset by interesting garden ornaments and outdoor buildings.
