Directions to the garden:

Follow the R103 through Rosetta towards Mooiriver. Pass Waterford Manor and TURN RIGHT at the next farm turnoff (approx 400 m past Waterford Manor) on your right hand side – Farm Wellington & Chimanimani. Proceed up the well maintained dirt road for approximately 1 km and turn left at the Chimanimani entrance.


A young farm garden filled with frost hardy, wind resistant and pet proof stalwarts. Mostly informal plantings, combining indigenous with English country garden favourites. A pesticide free garden utilising resident pets as fertilizers and pest controls. These include ducks, chickens, horses and some earthworms.The menagerie awaits your arrival with a warm cuppa or cool drink on a help-yourself basis from the cottage veranda.

The indigenous garden and valuing a young garden that dies back completely (mostly)  in the harsh sub-zero winters, Spring up and reward you with treasures throughout the year.
