We are now in our third year of the Harcourts Open Midlands Gardens, and are very proud as a committee to have achieved this.
With the formation of this new group we have learnt a lot through trial and error; one of the successes is the R 50 season ticket , which provides one access to well over 25 gardens each year. This has helped us raise R 52 000 during 2015 and R 30 000 the year before.
This money has been distributed to the charities selected by the garden owners, the 2014 and 2015 allocations are below.
Not only did we raise monies through this medium, but the garden owners also provide refreshments sold in aid of  charities; these proceeds were donated directly to their charity.
The ticket also serves to monitor those entering the private properties and to see how many visitors we are getting.
