Directions to the garden:

From Pietermaritzburg
Take exit R33/M70 for approximately 1 km.
Turn right at 3rd set of robots onto R33 Greytown Road.
Proceed along the R33 Greytown Road for 12 km.
Turn right onto R614 Wartburg/Tongaat sign.
Proceed along R614 for 29,5 km through the village of Wartburg.
At the T Junction (Illovo Sugar Mill opposite the turn) turn right onto Fawnleas Road. Proceed along Fawnleas Road for 9km.
After railings on bend and white building turn left onto D82 (gravel road).
Proceed along gravel road for 8 km.


This is a large, sprawling garden filled with magestic indigenous trees.
Wheelchair access is through the house and onto the verandah, which has a view of the garden.
Tea and scones will be served.
There is plenty of parking space.
